Kids Book Quest: Thea Stilton Series
In
today’s world of technology, children are glued to their tabs and mobiles so
much so that they've forgotten the fun of reading books and playing outside.
Sad though, but today’s fact. Children today find it more fascinating to play
all the games virtually than playing them physically. So as a parent it’s
getting more and more challenging to make children read a nice book or
convince them to play board games or other fun games.
As parents, we constantly try to make our children read books. It's difficult to search for a mix
of fiction and nonfiction books.
The most recent book series that I found good in
terms of content and illustration are Thea Stilton book series.
All about Thea Stilton Series
Thea Stilton books are
based on an original idea by Elisabetta Dami, Italian children’s book author. They're the spin-off of most popular
Geronimo Stilton books, a girly version. Thea Stilton is the younger sister of
Geronimo Stilton, and in Thea Stilton series, the stories revolve around Thea.
These
books are a treat to eyes with beautiful covers and formats. What makes them still exciting is a colorful biography of all the
main characters at the beginning of every book. These books are adventurous. The maps and
beautiful illustrations make them an engaging read for kids. Throughout the
book, a variety of font types and font colors are used that spice up the story
and gives a classy and jazzy look to the text. All-in-all, making the book more
appealing to the kids.
Kids nowadays get easily bored with the black
and white books and never-ending chapters, but Thea Stilton book series is
quite engaging as the chapters in these books are small. The
children won’t get bored as they feel accomplished that they have finished many
chapters. These books have quite a lot of suspense in between chapters which
keep children engaged long enough to finish the book.
The stories in these books are on the
adventures of Thea and Thea Sisters (five mouselets), as they travel around the
world solving mysteries. My daughter liked the special edition books because the
story is built in a fantasy land with fairies, flowers, etc. Apart from these,
there are several other books in Thea Stilton series that are also quite
engaging. There are Mouseford Academy series, graphic novel series, and many
more.
These books are recommended for early readers
from 6 to 9 years, especially for girls.
